Subtext was founded by Rocky Hagloch, John Oster, and Leigh Johnson. With 75+ years of Theatrical experience behind them it was about time.
We will bring original works to the stage alongside older plays that provide us an opportunity to showcase the lost art of the subtext.
We hope to provide a home for Chicago theater actors, designers, & writers to produce their best work in an atmosphere of support, collaboration, and trust.
Our Company has high expectations for each other, we hold each other accountable, and we support each others growth as artists.
