"what lies beneath"
Sometimes one finds that the best characters are minor players in the production. While he gets several mentions Doc only appears twice in Crimes of the Heart. My scene partner here once again is Jill Chukerman Test. This is from 1992 and is one of my favorite scenes. I will never forget that as I as Doc walk over to the sink to gaze out the window and announce that there is a moon out my friend Erik Andrews was in fact off stage mooning me. I doubled as the set designer for this show and modeled the high cupboards after my Great Aunt Nadines home, where I grew up. The set had a working sink with running water. I chose to have a pinch in my bottom lip but it wasn't tobacco even though I had a pouch of Red Man in my back pocket it was full of Big League Chew. I seem to get cast a lot in Southern character roles.
